In 2020, the founders of Kippa, along with some early team members, traveled all over Nigeria for 63 days. They met with over 300 merchants to understand the challenges they faced in running their businesses. They found that many small businesses struggled with managing their operations using only pen and paper. So, they created the Kippa Bookkeeping App to make things easier. The app quickly gained popularity, with over 500,000 business owners using it to run their businesses more efficiently.
Over time, Kippa's mission expanded beyond just bookkeeping. They wanted to help anyone in Africa start and run a business successfully.
I played a key role in reshaping Kippa's strategy and how it communicates, working with a talented team to update the logo, colors, and other aspects of the brand to better reflect its new mission.
